Okay, we tried this recipe. Par-cooked the bacon, soaked the corn, tied the husks in place, grilled the corn. But all three of us thought it was a lot of bother for nothing. Perhaps there is a trick to getting a bite of bacon and corn at the same time that I just couldn't figure out, without taking a second bite while having food in my mouth. Next time I'll add the chopped bacon to the corn OFF the cob.

I was at a bbq where the host made this. The corn was fresh and looked delicious and I was really looking forward to eating one grilled but I have to say that the best way to ruin fresh corn is to wrap bacon around it. Yuck!

everything does not have to be drowned in butter and bacon grease. This is not southern cooking.

I HAD to make this once I saw it. I was a little disapointed though :( I love the idea of wrapping something in the corn husks to add flavor ,however, it doesn't work with bacon. The bacon piece gets all steamed and gross! The corn tasted ok once you threw out the limp, yucky piece of bacon.

The bacon gave the corn a bit of a smokey flavor which was good. I think I will try this recipe again, but with something different. Maybe a little jalapeno for heat??

This is our new family traditional corn on the cob family favorite. This one will stay in the family forever.

I love good corn and I love bacon. I didn't love the tastes together.
The recipe worked as written - it was an easy way to cook corn (although I did just use foil instead of retaining the husks.

I left the corn on the grill as long as I was cooking other stuff - maybe 25-30 minutes - the corn was cooked perfectly. The bacon added flavor and salt - if you like a subtle bacon flavor on your corn, you'll love this. To me, the tastes didn't go together. Next time, I may either grill the corn plain or with a little butter.

The cook time to about 30 to 40 minutes depending on the number of ears and put the corn off heat in the center of my grill ( no more flame issues and the outside burners on high. Turn the corn about every 5 to 8 minutes and it came out great.

I made this recipe but substituted turkey bacon for regular bacon to try to cut calories. I'm sure it would have been better with regular bacon, but it still had great flavor and cut down on the butter needed to make the corn good.

I find it difficult to ruin a perfectly good piece of corn by drenching it in saturated fatty bacon!!! Again... just my opinion... it might taste good, but not be good for you! :

Pretty good recipe if you are already grilling. The corn didn't need butter or salt when done. I enjoyed it, but there are easy and cleaner ways to have corn on the cob
