I tried this recipe for the Super Bowl this year (Go Giants!, and I have to say that it was just awful. It's basically tomato sauce. Who wants their wings to taste like tomato sauce? I had to tweak this recipe A LOT to miss it taste somewhat decent.

This sauce is not meant to be hot. It won the creative sauce contest not the tradtional buffalo wing sauce. That is why it won

This is NOT a good recipe!

Buffalo Wing sauce is meant to be hot. Or maybe medium. Or at the very least mild if you're a wimp like my girlfriend is. But after adding about 30 dashes of Texas Pete's instead of the recommended 1 (!?!?!?, my girlfriend didn't even complain about it being hot. Because it was barely even medium. If you like "hot wings", you'll probably want to add some cayenne as well or chipotle powder would be good.

If you greatly increase the hot sauce, use less sugar (only about 3 Tbsp is probably necessary, and keep the rest the same you might end up with something resembling wing sauce. Just sayin'.

Greatly disappointed in this sauce. Extremely, sweet... Maybe fine for BBQ but not for someone trying to duplicate the orginal Buffalo wing sauce from NY.

We've used this recipe for quite a while now. We've shared the recipe with friends and everyone loves them. After we fry the wings and put he sauce on them we bake them in the oven for about 20-30 minutes. It makes them the sauce caramalize on the wings and is very good.

My favorite ribs are the sweet ones from North Caroline, so these sweet wings for perfect for my taste. Sometimes I play with ingredients based on their availability, and it has not affected the delicious factor.

I make this recipe every year for the super bowl, and all of my friends beg me to make it more frequently--it was quite a hit. The only thing I do differently is to scale back slightly on the sugar and up the ante on the hot sauce until it's nice and spicy.
