Really? One star for the recipe because you couldn't use your problem solving skills to determine what "good" dark rum is? Kind of harsh, don't you think? Consider that FN may not always be permitted to recommend or use name brands in their recipes. Ask the liquor merchant.

This recipe is requested by my mom for almost every occasion. I enjoy making it for her and it is just so...easy. I do grind the espresso at the local grocery store at a selection of even finer than espresso. Turns out to be an even more delicious taste. I use Myer's Dark Rum for this and it is totally worth it!

I Love tiramisu! I never thought I would be able to make it. It was one of the easiest recipes I've ever made. It is absolutely delicious, I will be making this for holidays for a long time. Thanks Ina.

I have had many many versions of tiramisu, restaurants, friends, trying different recipes. This is hands down my favorite. I thought the balance of rum and espresso was perfect, it came out perfectly creamy and rich. Truly delicious.

Can anyone tell me if there's concern about the raw eggs. Obviously, using the freshest one can get is imperative...but, does anyone else get nervous, or is it just me? Thanks

I'M KEEPING THIS RECIPE! FRIENDS REALLY LIKED IT. NOT TOO SWEET, VERY CREAMY. I READ OTHER REVIEWS BUT DIDN'T HAVE THOSE PROBLEMS. I HAD TO MAKE A QUICK VERSION SO I USED A CAKE MIX, (I LIVED IN A RURAL AREA AND COULDN'T FIND THE RIGHT LADY FINGERS IN A 9X12, CUT IT INTO SLICES LIKE BISCOTTI AND DRIED IT IN OVEN FOR ABOUT 10 MINUTES. IT SOAKED UP EVERY DROP WITHOUT BEING WET. USED KAHLUA INSTEAD OF RUM. THE COFFEE, AND CHOCOLATE FLAVOR REALLY COME THRU. LET IT SET UP TILL NEXT EVENING TO SERVE. GREAT FLAVOR.

This recipe is so delicious. My husbands favorite dessert is tiramisu. We lived in Italy for 3 years andI guess that is where we learned to like it; so as a treat when he returned from a biz trip I made Ina's turkey lasagna (also a 5 star recipe and then this tiramisu for dessert. It was beautiful it tasted as good as you'd get from a restaurant. My husband brags about it a lot, and I have already been booked to make this for other family members. I will say this though, if you aren't a person who drinks much alcohol (which I don't it can taste a little strong, but if you know what to expect from a tiramisu it is wonderful!

the flavors blend well altogether. ina has great recipes they all come out awsome. Reading the other reviews I didn't add rum I didn't have any so I used coffee liquor and it turned out good.

I followed this recipe to the letter and was very embarrassed and disappointed in how it turned out!!!! It was to be something special for a bridal shower. Well, it ended up in the garbage. Way too strong of flavors. A waste of money - and it was a lot of money for the ingredients.
