Aside from the long cooking time, this is a new favorite recipe! It was a breeze to make and teh whole family loved it. I skipped the parsley, but it was so good... and the leftovers were tasty too. A real winner!

I just steamed up some basmati (not crazy for scallions, toasted some coconut and tossed them together. Yum, especially with the Indonesian Ginger Chicken.

Made with Indonesian Chicken. Will use less salt next time and maybe cook a little slower. Overall, grezt recipe to go with anything really.

Ohhhhh myyyy goodness this is the yummiest rice in the world. SO tasty and fresh/flavorful - I made this to go with Ina's Ginger Chicken and roasted carrots, and the combination was sinful! Everyone went nuts over the whole meal, but many people said that the rice was actually their favorite part!!! This rice is so tasty, please buy real, good quality Basmati, though--it is so worth it, and it is the only rice I ever use anyway!! There is no substitute for basmati! I am going to make rice this way to go with many other dishes as well! The onions and butter taste gorgeous! Ina I'm not sure what I would do without you!!!!!!
