    Marvelous! I'm terrible at making mashed potatoes. They never seem to turn out quite right. (I know it's one of those basics that should be a given I got this one right! I decided to crush about 3 garlic cloves and throw them in w/ the butter/cream mixture. I then took them out before mixing it in the potatoes. It was a great garlic undertone. Thanks Ina!

    Turned out a little soupy for me. Next time I'll just cut back on the half and half a little bit. I also increased the Parmesan to 3/4s of a cup because there was very little flavor with only a half. Definitely a new favorite for mashed potatoes, tho.

    This recipe was a big hit with my family. I do not have a mixer so I combined the ingredients in the pot that I boiled the potatoes in with a masher and the result was still creamy and delicious. It is, however, a very heavy dish so eat in moderation. I enthusiastically recommend this recipe to anyone who loves potatoes. You will definitely enjoy this one.

    Yummy recipe! I added 2.5X the amount of cheese and extra salt at the end and it was fantastic. My guests RAVED about the potatoes! I will def. be making these potatoes again.

    My go-to mashed potato recipe. Very delicious. The sour cream really brings out the flavor of the cheese!
