I can't believe how tasty and easy to make. They can be made well ahead of your gathering so you can be a guest too!

I've been making these for years.
Since I'm Italian, I substitute prosciutto usually for the bacon; sometimes I add Italian seasonings - garlic powder, oregano, basil, etc to the 'dredge' mixture (see below.
*I omit salt.
I do the prep slightly different.
I dredge one side of each prosc/bacon strip in cheese. Roll coated prosc/bacon diagonally around bread sticks, cheese-side inward. Place the sticks on a paper-towel-lined
platter, baking dish or on a micro-safe rack. Microwave on High for 4 to 6 minutes, or until bacon begins to brown, rotating plate once. Roll each stick in cheese again.
Another idea - instead of cheese - dredge the bacon in brown sugar!

Brought to party gone quick! I couldn't find the breadsticks in box so I used pillsbury in can and rolled in sesame seeds it adds a step but good replacement. also baked on cookie racks on top of sheet or broiler pan so that the grease can drain off

I've been wanting to try this recipe for so long. I was not disappointed, or my family either! Everyone loved it!! The bacon flavor infused into the breadsticks, and topped with the parmesan cheese and garlic, what can I say except YUM! These will be at more of our family gatherings per many requests! Paula thanks again, you totally ROCK!!!!!

I like my bacon really crisp and it just doesn't work with this recipe.

First we tried a batch with pre-cooked bacon, and they did not turn out good. The bacon got really too crispy as did the breadstick and they just fell apart. The 2nd batch we used turkey bacon, although it worked much better, we will try again with regular bacon.

I made these for a party the day ahead and was a little skeptical whether they would be okay for the pary, but to my amazment they turned out awesome. I just put them in the oven for about 5 minutes to heat them up and everyone loved them. Many requests for the recipe....thanks Paula.

I served this to my guests as an appetizer at a dinner party, and they all commented on how wonderful it was! They were not surprised at all to hear that it was one of Paula's recipes!
