This was incredibly easy and a huge hit. I followed the suggestions of the other reviewers and used half brown sugar for the topping and it was delicious!

Best baking experience ever! Instead of using sugar for the topping, I used brown sugar. It was an excellent desision! Made it for a little family get together and everyone loved it!

I doubled the recipe because an 8" coffee cake wouldn't do in our house. I went from 3 to 4 cups of apples and used Macintosh (because I was using what I already had peeled in the freezer, plus I also added some chopped walnuts. I also used 1/2 granulated and 1/2 brown sugar in the struesel topping.

I am not the world's greatest baker but I made this today and it came out wonderfully! Moist inside and the topping was crunchy. Like an apple pie in the middle of a cinnamony coffee cake.

I hate purchasing baked goods and enjoy offering something warm and right out of the oven after a nice meal. This receipe allowed me to do exactly that without pulling out my hair at any moment. You can easily prepare this dish and wait until your meal is ready to pop it in the oven so it can be nice and warm when it comes out. Served with vanilla icecream it was a smash hit with everyone. The best part is that it was so simple to make and it was home made.

This recipe was very quick and easy to make. Tastes even better than something you would buy in a store.I used brown sugar for the topping instead of white sugar and it turned out great. Even more moist and flavorful the next day.

I had never tried to make a coffee cake before but this was pretty easy and very tasty.

It's not overly sweet which I liked. It was a crowd pleaser.

This was great! I changed the sugar in the topping to brown sugar, and loved it. Very quick too. A great way to use up some older apples if you have them.

I used to watch Gale Gand's show everyday when it aired in the afternoon. As soon as I saw this recipe and immediately tried it out. I can't even tell you have many times I've made this coffee cake. It's so easy to put together and so tasty. You can adjust the ingredients to change the streusel topping, I add more brown sugar and it's so delicious! Try it out and it may become your favorite quick dessert!
