I have had the good fortune of going to one Michael Simon's restaurants (the creator of this in Cleveland he had some very unusual and interesting combinations put together. When I saw this on the food tv receipes I gave it a try. It was a " hit" at our Christmas Party, I highly recommend it if you like bacon and chocolate. The sweet and salty combiantion are excellent together!

When I saw the episode I agreed with the candy maker that the idea sounds disgusting but after I saw his response when he tried the dessert, I had to try it. If you like bacon you will love this recipe!

Ok so when I watched this episode of Dinner Impossible, the idea of chocolate covered bacon was so strange. It was like Paula Deen's "fried butter." But that didn't stop me from becoming so intrigued that I had to try it. Of course I took the easy way out and microwaved my chocolate like I always do. But the results were very tasty. The contrast between salty and sweet is wonderful. It's just like chocolate covered pretzels or chocolate covered popcorn (ala Peterbrooke's Chocolates. I only made about 3 pieces of bacon but I keep eating them. Very tasty if you can get by the idea of it. I bet it'd be even easier with that already cooked bacon that you just microwave.
