This was wonderful! My family loved it. Also, added a cheese sauce to top it off with green bell pepper! DELISH!

I think that this recipe was a good basis, but could use some definite modifications. I put the rolls in the oven to make them more crispy, and also after I put all the ingredients on the sandwiches, I put the cheese on top and put the sandwiches in the oven. I think that the steak could have used more flavor (I put steak seasoning on it. Also! do not cook the steak for two minutes per side, WAY TOO LONG! Only 30 seconds per side is more than long enough. Check out my blog for more information on alterations I made to this recipe: https://filebox.vt.edu/users/karens7/index.html

Reminds me of these two http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=85gYUBIZ2YI. Great Steak Sandwich needs some aged prime rib!

This is a good recipe for a short cut. Our deli Provolone never really melted ooey gooey into the meat and sandwich. It would be better to make small piles of meat on the griddle, place slices of Provolone on the meat and let the heat melt it a bit before scooping up and putting it on the rolls. But, if you want to emulate the Cheez Whiz consistency, try Bobby Flay's Provolone cheese sauce--its YUMMY and makes it easier for the home cook to assemble the sandwich.

I'm a college student at Texas Tech University and I just finished making these for some red raiders right before the hugh TTU vs OU game. They were a hit!

I did add green bell pepper to the onion mix and it turned out really well.

Hopefully the game will go just as well as this meal.

These sandwiches were soooooo good. I loved the way the onions got sweet after they had been cooked. We bought crusty hoagie rolls and they were great with the consistency of the meat, onions, and cheese. I will make this over and over.

It's Saturday, the suns out; let's do Philly's. This recipe was excellent and easy. I carmalized my onions a little longer and added some sweet peppers. One word, "AWESOME".
