Yummy! Everyone loved it! Since I was serving this with an Italian Lemon Chicken I added some lemon zest and the same fresh herbs called for in the chicken recipe. This dish is great hot or cold.

This recipe is amazing! You can take the basic recipe and add several twists. For example, you can add mushrooms to the onion and garlic saute and continue the recipe as indicated. Another twist is to add diced tomatoes to the garlic and onion saute. After adding the orzo instead of using parmesan cheese you can substitute feta and add black olives, making it a bit more greek. I am sure there are several more ideas, but thought I would share our favorites.

This is a great recipe for a quick and simple side dish. It almost felt like a risotto, but a lot easier. I skipped the salt because the parmesan added enough saltiness to the dish. Everyone loved it, and I will definitely be making it again.

I wanted to try Orzo pasta, so I came to Food Network to help me out. This recipe got a lot of good comments, so I decided to give it a try. I am happy I did. This was a very good dish. I read most of the comments and noticed that alot of people tweaked the recipe. I decided to go along with the person who added mushroom and shrimp. It was a quick dish and with the addition of basil spice and hot pepper flakes was seasoned good. Give it a try and make it your own.
