This was very yummy but I think 15 minutes is too much cooking time if you are going to simmer the orzo. I have a gas stove and I simmered it for 15 minutes on low heat. Water evaporated but the orzo was overcooked. It still tasted good, but it would have been better to reduce cooking time to 10 minutes or have medium heat.

This is so much more tasty and delicious than the pre-made packages that you buy at the Supermarket! I do halve the recipe for just my and husband and me and we eat it all in one sitting. Fantastic and easy!

I was searching for a new way to make orzo and I have found it. I thought I had made enough for leftovers but my family devoured it! I love the fact that you make everything in one pot and the orzo does not have to been drained. It was cooked perfectly. I think the original recipe is great but you could dressed it up with some fresh herbs or toasted pine nuts. If you are looking for a risotto recipe but are worried about cooking it correctly this is a great substitution.

I have neve cooked orzo but see it so often on cooking shows that I decided to give it a try. I picked this recipe to give it go because (1 it's Rachael Ray's recipe and (2 it sounded simple to make. It was very simple but tasted out of this world. My husband and I both loved it. It is on my list of frequently used recipes.

This was really good, but a lot more than 4 servings. I am trying to think of what to do with the leftovers, though from the reviews it sounds like adding veggies & reheating will do the trick. We really liked this, even my husband who says he does not like cheese, and loathes Mac & Cheese.

I came onto foodnetwork.com trying to find something to do with pasta and olive oil that involved maybe a two other staple ingredients, as I need to go shopping. So, I halved the recipe, left out the broth altogether, and just used water (out of broth. I used dried onion flakes (out of onions and jarred minced garlic (out of real garlic. I also threw in some frozen peas and frozen broccoli. Since there was no broth, I added a bit of dried basil (out of fresh and a little salt for flavor. I actually did have the parmesan. This actually turned out very good. I usually keep a couple rice-a-roni boxes on hand for days like this. This is way better and I know all the ingredients. : I'm sure it's even better with all the right ingredients and broth.

I made this for the family with the no-mystery marinade recipe with pork chops. It was AWESOME! Everyone loved it and my kids gobbled up the orzo, I did use a milder cheese for them though and it came out great. We will definitely make this again and again.
