My reduction also took more time than the recipe stated but it was worth it.

the ratio of balsamic to vegetables was way too high and i even halved it. the balsamic was very overpowering. i'd try it again, but with much, much less balsamic.

I usally don't watch her show. Annoying. This was a shame to brussel sprouts. The balsalmic did not reduce and what was left was pickled veggies. To make my boyfriend eat them was to cover them up with shredded cheese!! yuck.

Horrible...I was so embarrassed when I served this. Easy recipe..but was sad to have ruined the veggies like this. Try it first without guests if going to try it.

Wish I had read the reviews first to know to make the honey glaze instead of the regular! Like everyone else, mine would not reduce, so I finally drained it and then tried to cook the veggies a bit drier. They ended up absolutely doused in vinegar, and not sweet at all. To salvage, I put some honey on the individual bowls of vegetables, and that helped some. I'd definitely try the honey glaze because that could be good, but without the honey it's almost inedible.

I have made this recipe many times (with carrots and my children and I love it. A lot of the reviews are stating problems with the reduction. I have had no such problem. The only thing that I would like to try differently is usuing white balsamic as the dark balsamic does not leave a pretty color on the vegetables and I think if you had picky eaters (we are not, they may not even want to try this because of the looks of it.

This was really good... added just a dash of honey to cut the sour and everyone ate it up.

I tried it and I was the only one who ate some 'cause I didn't want to waste those vegetables...but at the end I ended throwing them away. The sauce did not reduce and the taste was too bitter. I will not be making it again...and I like balsamic vinegar.
