I never in my wildest of dreams thought the combination of these veggies would taste good; but, at a Yada Yada dinner party, Anne, made them and I thought my taste buds were going to explode with delight. I am one of those picky people who don't like their food to touch but the smell made me curious and I had to try them. Oh, I love it. I will make this for my momma, she has special diets she has to stick to and this she will be able to eat. I think I will add fresh mushrooms. LOVE this recipe:

I prepared this for my son's birthday and everyone loved it. MY only problem was trying to use the rosemary skewers, so I just used the bamboo ones.

I have not tried this with the balsamic vingegar yet - I use the optional honey glaze with carrots and brussels sprouts. It is so delicious - and I don't even like brussels sprouts!

I made this to try and jazz up our normal veggie side. When my husband came home, he opened up windows because the vinegar smell was so overpowering. The veggies tasted pickled. I had to quickly throw some jarred marinara sauce and parmesean over them and threw them under the broiler. We just weren't impressed. Sorry

I first tried with yellow squash. The white flesh of the squash turned dark brown. Couldn't get my kids to eat it. Couldn't get myself to eat it. Then I tried it with baby carrots. Black carrots? Didn't look appetizing and didn't taste appetizing. Would like to see this one demonstrated. Maybe I did something wrong. I love balsamic vinegar, but not like this.

After seeing the recipe on the show, I thought "what a great alternative to either steaming or roasting veggies." To my dismay, the vinegar was so over powering, that I could not taste the vegetables at all, and what I did taste was not pleasing. The dish ruined the whole meal.

I have made this recipe for several of my friends and everyone enjoys it thoroughly. I have made it with honey and balsamic and they are both hits! If I make it with honey I have learned that carrots do great with that paticular recipe.
