I was dubious about making these after reading all the mixed reviews. I decided to go dough balls to the wall and try them anyway, since my kids wanted chocolate chip cookies RIGHT NOW and my favorite recipe requires the dough to be refrigerated overnight. They're just average. A little cakey, a little greasy. They need... something. Definitely not as scrumptious as Tyler himself! I will stick with my favorite recipe.

If you like the chewy cookies at Mrs. Fields, you'll love this recipe. The texture is to die for, and they taste just as good. By far my favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe.

The texture of these cookies was horrible. They would have been much better with milk chocolate, and they tasted like rubber. I would not make these again.

After reading lots of reviews about the cookie having a cake-like texture, I decided instead of forming the dough into cookie balls, I would just spread the batter out on the parchment paper as I would a sheetcake. After 12 minutes in a 350 degree oven, it looked like a big blob LOL, so I adjusted the oven temperature to 375 degrees and cooked for an additional 8 minutes, watching the edges. I let it cool for 10 minutes. Definitely cakey but fulfilled my chocolate craving!

These were delicious! I followed a reviewers advice and omitted the salt because i had salted butter and it still tasted great. As well, I also used semi-sweet choc chips instead of chunks because i had them in the pantry.

The only other modification for me was that i used smaller amount of batter to yield many more, smaller cookies. As a result, for chewy cookies you only need 10 minutes in the oven instead of 12.

If you like the Pillsbury Cookie dough you can buy in the store, then you will LOVE recipe - plus you'll feel a little better knowing all of the ingredients, as opposed to a bunch of preservatives!

This recipe is definitely a keeper!

Super easy, super yummy! I used a whole bag (12oz of semi-sweet chocolate chips for a bit extra chocolate.

I made these twice with a few of my friends, and made smaller sized cookies both times, and they were delicious! This one is a definite keeper. (:
