I made these in the smaller size and with regular chocolate chips, and they are very good. I tried other recipes, but didnt like them. These are very good and easy to make. I took some to work and they where gone in just a few hours.

So like everyone else wrote, these are definitely cake-like, which is actually VERY tasty. I actually had a major issue though, and I'm wondering if anyone else came across the same problem. My cookies all baked together into a blob! I had to separate them out with a spatula and they are not very aesthetically pleasing. I know the dough was cold, because I refrigerated it overnight. Anyone have any suggestions/thoughts on this??
PS, was making this for a friend and couldn't help but stuff my face with the "ugly pieces"

I have tried A LOT of chocolate chip cookie recipes and so far this one is the BEST! They come out perfectly. The only thing I did differently was use cold butter chopped into small pieces. These cookies are DELICIOUS!!! Not too crispy & not too cakey, they are just right! Not only is Tyler HOT, but he can make an awesome chocolate chip cookie! ;

these are the best chocolate cookies i've tried yet. i always make these as normal size cookies and use chocolate chips, not chuncks. i love that these cookies are cake like in the middle and do not fall flat like all other chocolate chip cookies i've baked. i just made ina's chocolate chip cookies and i am definitely wishing i had just stuck to this recipe! won't be trying any others going forward!
