My husband said "Looks like it should on a cookbook cover!" My kids loved it and my husband - who doesn't like fried chicken just had to try a bite.
So easy and wonderful. Yah!

I actually made great fried chicken! I have tried so many recipes and they never turn out. After reading all the reviews of this recipe i thought I would give it one more try. I don't know what makes the breading so nice and crispy, maybe self rising flour? In any case, this recipe is awesome. Thanks Paula!

Folks - When making this recipe, you are not suppose to add all of the "house seasoning" to the chicken. If you watch Paula make it, she sprinkles it on from a shaker. There by just seasons the chicken with it. The house seasoning recipe is for an entire shaker full which can be used for other dishes. I liked this recipe, and wanted to clarify that point to a few others who may have used all of the house seasoning in making the chicken - which in turn makes it salty.

This is by far one of the best fried chicken recipies ever! For you low carbers I used soy flour and the double batter method for extra flavor. For an extra punch dip in the egg wash before cooking for that southwest fried look.
