I've made this a couple of times now and plan to serve it again at a brunch party I'm hosting. I love the simplicity of it, but it's very flavorful at the same time.

Absolutely loved this. I only use bottled salad dressing 'cause it's just me here but decided to dress the salad on the plate with this one. Just drizzled the EVOO and squeezed the lemon and it was wonderful. My pear was on the green side but that worked to my advantage--wasn't soft and mushy.

My company loved this salad, it was very refreshing and a perfect compliment to the mushroom tart I made. My husband could not stop eating it until it was all gone. He said it was like eating dessert. I used sugared pecans and bartlett pears. Will definitely make this again.

I think that more pears and less cheese next time would be better. I also added chicken, this was a great salad but just needed less cheese. My boyfriend ate it all though and requests that I make this again.

I've made this salad three times in the last three months for different occasions - each time it's been a huge hit, and the recipe requested by my guests. I used a firm red pear that was so yummy! I love the light dressing, and the flavors of pear and chees together. I could eat just that salad for my whole meal and be very happy!

I made this for a dinner party and it turned out awsome. I wasn't sure how much flavor it would end up having since the dressing is just lemon juice, evoo, salt and pepper but it turned out amazing. Instead of just using arugala I ended up using an organic spring mix which has arugala in it. I am so pleased I found this recipe I will definitly make it again. It was YUMMO!

Served this at my Christmas Luncheon last week and it was the biggest hit! The fruit combined with the lemon was a surprise to guests, and of course the cheese adds a lot. I added romaine and some chickory as well which varied the lettuce taste. It is also beautiful to serve, vibrant and green on a table.

This is a no-surprise salad. It's easy, fresh, and delicious. All the flavors are complimentary and healthy. For a more substantial dish, add some chicken, and you have a light meal.
