    Hands down, the best gratin dish ever. I served this as the potato entree at our annual Oktoberfest party. These potatos are now specifically asked about when the invitation goes out, every year. No kidding - some guests actually waiver on attendance until they know if these will be served.

    Okay, so I skipped the cabbage part (since I had none and I substituted cheddar for the parmesan, but incredibly, this is the BEST gratin recipe I have ever made. LOVE it!

    I love potatoes!!!! my favorite way of eating them is gratin! I usually use different cheeses with mine so when I saw this variation with cabbage and bacon I was curious....it was absolutely mouth watering! I don't think I'll go back to my old ways again. you WON'T be sorry you made this but your scale may!!!

    My husband and I really love this dish! That little surprise of cabbage in the middle layer is exquisite! Friends have been asking us to make it for every occassion ever since. Thanks Tyler!
