I tried this on friends and family. All I can say is What A Hit. It is very easy to prepare and everyone was impressed. I have been asked by everyone how it is prepared and will most certainly serve it again.

Haven't tried the steak yet but plan on it but we really liked the broiled stuffed tomatoes. I used spinach . it will be a regular in the family and emailed it to friends too.

I was a little nervous making this for my boyfriend since this was my first grilled steak ever. He loved this dinner! The steak was a perfect medium rare at four and a half minutes per side for strip steaks that were about an inch and a half thick. I didn't flame the brandy. The tomatoes were wonderful, though I was a little worried after reading some of the reviews saying it was too spicy. We both thought they were fantastic. I will make this again!

These were pretty good. I used spinach instead of the arugala.

I didn't make the steak, but the tomatoes were great, although next time i would use a little bit less red pepper. And warn the people you are serving that there is red pepper in it, otherwise when they bite down on a piece unexpectedly it can be quite unpleasant!

I made this meal and it came out very good. The tomatoes especially were nice. My steaks were bought at Sams and a bit too thick but all in all the meal was very good. Give it a try

I disagree somewhat with the reviewer who said that the Arugula was overpowering. Arugula works fine, although sometimes I also substitute spinach; but only because Argula is sometimes hard to find in my local supermarket. Family favorite, and I oftem make this recipe.

This is a great summer recipe and was a huge hit with my family, however some modifications are in order:
1 Instead of Arugala, I would use spinach to stuff the tomatoes, as the arugala's somewhat bitter taste is a bit overpowering when paired with steak au poivre: keep the red pepper in the tomatoes to preserve their kick, but tone it down a notch by adding spinach so guests and family members aren't fighting over the water pitcher
2 Sweet corn is also a nice addition to the meal, as it provides contrast to the mildly spicy tomatoes, and peppery steak and also adds color to the plate.
All in all, a winner.
