I hate store-bought salad dressings. You know it's going to ***** when the first ingredient is water! Emir's balsamic vinaigrette is a winner. Made it with a quality balsamic vinegar and olive oil, a double ration of fresh chopped garlic and served it at dinner to guests. It was a big hit. Word to the wise, do not leave out the brown sugar...it has a very positive impact on the flavor.

I love this dressing. So flavorful. I've made it several times and definitely put the brown sugar in. It seems to tame the vinegar.

Discovered at the last minute that my bottled dressing was expired, so made this. Again, in a rush, so used garlic press on the garlic instead of chopping. DO NOT DO THIS!!! Horrifically over garlicky. Will try again with chopped as stated in the recipe. Only one star for my version.

This is simple, as the name states, but it's packed full of flavor. So good! I thought the oil/vinegar ratio was off. Too much oil. So I used 1/4 C of balsamic to 1/4 C of olive oil. Added 1 minced clove of garlic, a pinch of smoked paprika, and a bit of Italian seasonings (oregano, basil, thyme, etc. I did use the brown sugar too, to cut back on the tang of the vinegar. It was so tasty on my salad of mixed greens and fresh raspberries and candied walnuts. Husband loved it. Will definitely make again and again and increase the amounts when I have more people to feed.

My new favorite dressing! I will be making this over and over. I used about 2/3 c oil and 1/4 vinegar. It was soooo good and easy to make. No need to ever buy bottled balsamic again. And for those reviewers complaining that it is fattening, you only need a small amount. I made 2 huge salads and still have some left over. It works well to marinate veggies in too! Love it!

Made the dressing for a salad tonight: SO GOOD! Will have to make again with the rest of the salad.

I made a salad with greens, strawberries, pineapple, walnuts, shallot and red pepper slices and tossed it with this vinaigrette - absolutely delicious. I will make again and again. Very easy and quick!
