    My Dear Tyler. Grits is much maligned enough without you confusing the issue. Corn Meal? Eat Charleston or Savannah style Shrimp and Grits and will see. Get Quick Grits - not instant grits and try your recipe. Grits is a more refined, if you will, polenta.
    You are a great chef and I like your show.

    I made the mistake of using butter instant grits, which was an over laod of butter, but the recipe was tasty and easy to follow

    This is an absolutely wonderful recipe - one of the best I've ever gotten from Food Network. This is a favorite in our house, and I'm always told I can make it again anytime I want.

    The flavors in this dish were amazing and blended so well together. I guess I am just not Southern enough, because I had real trouble making the grits. Once blended with the butter and heavy cream, they were ok, but not what I expected on making my first batch of grits. This dish is so rich and filling, though, that I wouldn't want to have it too often. My husband loved it, too.

    I have ordered Shrimp & Grits in restaurants from Wilmington NC to Charleston SC and this receipe was better than any I tried in the restaurants. I made it for my brother while visiting, he asked me to make it for all of his golfing buddies. Great Hit.
