this was really yummy and easy. My roomie doesnt like seafood, so I made it with sausage only. Another time, I didnt have grtis on hand, so I used cous cous. This is in regular rotation at my home thee days.

I think that this receipe is just shrimp and sausage thing would be better than to have both grits and shrimp together. It does not feel right in taste.I rather prefer to have shrimp thing on half plate and rice for half plate.

As there are only two of us I cut the grits recipe in half and I used skim milk in lieu of cream that cut the calories. Also I sprinkled my shrimp with cajun seasoning before adding to the roux mixture. We both enjoyed it very much and I had some left over.

This recipe was great! We loved it! The flavors blended together well. The grits were smooth and creamy. Made me feel like a good cook. Thanks.

i normally boil my shrimp in old bay seasoning with a touch of cider vinegara. when finished cooking shrimp, save that water and use in place of chicken brooth. makes for a more intense shrimpp flavor in whole procuct
