I have made this recipe at least a dozen times and, yes, it is time consuming but so worth the effort. I have had more compliments than I can count and my co-workers beg (and offer to pay me to make these for their dinners. Five stars is not enough!

This dish is excellent. Great flavor, and nice consistency. Also can be made into individual pies if desired. I like the concept of the one large pie for serving family style. It really saves a lot of time in forming individual sized pies. A few diced potatoes would go well in the filling too. Excellent dish.

This receipe was delicious however it took me a long time to make and the filling was thinner than I would have preferred.

I have made this several times already. It is delicious! I put the pot pie in a casserole dish and use only half of the recipe for the crust to cover it. I don't sprinkle salt over it. I tried that before and it makes it way too salty. I poach extra chicken breast in the chicken stock and add that to the pie instead of all the other vegetables. My family is use to just chicken in their pot pie. This is the ONE and ONLY recipe I use for chicken stock. It is the BEST! As far as it being a time consuming recipe, if you want comfort food and find comfort in cooking, this is it!

I absolutely love to cook, and i think i'm a pretty good cook but this recipe might be the most frustrating cooking experience i've ever had! I didn't realize that the recipe would take me at least 5 hours to complete, even with some cheating i.e. cooling in an ice water bath instead of just leaving it to reach room temp. I ended up with 2 quarts of soup that was apparently supposed to thicken and go inside the pie, which was impossible! I ended up just straining out the chicken and veggies to put in the pie and serving the "soup" as gravy. I must say that it did taste good in the end, although it looked ugly and not too much like Tyler's! So if you do try this one, maybe use more flour in the roux, or much less broth, and plan ahead for a long time in the kitchen!

Great way to use your left over chicken and store bought chicken broth, cuts out a lot of time and very good. Added a few potatoes. Would like to try the original version, though.

It took a very long time, but was worth it, and it made a lot of food, for probably about 8 people...delicious, and my family LOVED it!!

This was so much fun to make, and tasted wonderfully. Although it takes a while, it tastes so much better than the less-difficult pies.
