This an amazing sandwich and I'm not a huge fan of fish (but I'm trying! The tartar sauce is amazing, as is everything else about it. I periodically crave it so I go get a loaf of crusty bread, the ingredients for the tartar sauce from the grocery store, and the halibut from the local fish monger. You won't be disappointed.

This rating is for the Tartar Sauce only. I made crab cakes and was looking for a lemon dill sauce and decided to try Rachel's. I have not made the halibut. I made the sauce the day before using it and the sauce is out of this world delicious. It out shined the crab cakes I made!! You must try this -- and make it the day before -- with fresh dill and REAL mayonnaise. Sinfully good and excellent on salmon, shrimp, and sandwiches.

Amazing tartar sauce. Will try it next time with reduced fat mayonnaise. Family loved it! Now if only someone could tell me how to keep the sandwich from sliding all over!

Agree that the tartar sauce was tasty but felt it really overpowered the halibut which is so expensive in our area that it needs to be the star of the meal.

A messy mound of tasty! Loved the Old Bay Seasoning sprinkled on the halibut. I made this for just two of us for dinner tonight. We've already decided to eat the remainder for lunch tomorrow. My favorite Rachael Ray recipe so far!

I bought some Halibut on sale and decided to use this recipe it was the best ever. I also tried it with Talapia and it was just as good tartar sauce and fish. Thanks Rachael I love this show and your talk show and even got some of your cookware I wish I could afford all of it .

Really easy and really good. Halibut works great but also works well with cheaper fish like tilapia.

This could not be any easier to make, and my whole family absolutely loved it. Even my 6 year twins and 9 year son. They couldn't get enough! Will definitely be making this many more times in my house.
