This is without a doubt the best, easiest, creamiest, dreamiest, key lime pie ever!!!
I have made this pie several times and get rave reviews each and every time----I've started to make two at a time cuz one is never enough!

I made this with one alteration: added 1/3 cup of shredded coconut to the graham cracker crust. Perfect.

I brought this to a dinner party last night and it was a huge hit. I realized this morning though that I was only supposed to use egg yolks and I used the whole egg by mistake. Didn't make a bit of difference! The taste was really rich and the texture was firm (maybe using the whole egg helps prevent the runniness that some people experienced. One other thing - instead of making a pie crust I used individual ready made graham cracker cups. They don't need to be baked and it was so easy to fill them. Everyone enjoyed having their own dessert. I made 12 cups but had filling left over for probably another 3 or 4 cups. Definitely make your own whip cream - it's worth it. And, I topped the whip cream with limes slices that were covered with sugar. Everything froze beautifully and everyone was even enjoying the sugar on the limes!

My refrigerator and freezer are older, and so I try to make this the day before I need it, because it does take a long time to freeze to semi-solid. It is delicious, though, and I always get lots of compliments on it! Thanks Ina for another GREAT recipe.

The crust was too hard to cut after freezing. It didn't set up as well as I thought it would. Tasted great though.

I made this for my boyfriend along with the other dishes from this episode, it tasted fine, except it never froze! its been in my freezer for 3 days and its still not frozen at all. The cool-whip i put on top is hard as a rock, but the filling is still a little runny. I asked my roommate ( Chemistry majorabout it and she suggested it may be because of the sweetened condinsed milk, because of the density of the S&C milk it will not freeze because its too dense. i would make it again, but i would mix the whipped topping in to make it lighter.

This pie should be treated like ice cream and served directly from the freezer, otherwise it will be runny
just like ice cream left out.
I've made this many times now and it is
always great and well-received by guests. It is made even easier by
buying the graham crackers already in crumb form. Another great recipe. Thanks Ina.

I'm going to try this again, but in the show Ina did not put whip cream on until after she took out of freezer. Then she put in fridge until she served it. The recipe calls for freezing with whipped cream and limes. i didn't like the way that turned out. Hope I have better luck doing it the way she did it on her show
