I am very suprised to see how many people rated this dip so high. Although the taste was good it was way too greasy. I was pouring off the grease after I cooked it.

I was really looking forward to trying out this recipe after reading all the rave reviews, but I don't know what happened... it turned out just terrible. I substituted mild cheddar for the swiss, so maybe that was the problem. The dish was EXTREMELY greasy. I actually had to pour out all the oils that started to accumulate, and I think it was almost 1/2 a cup. The consistency was all off -- instead of a smooth dip, it was chunky and goopy. The dip was one huge ball of cheese and grease, and it kept pulling away from the edge of the dish.

Although it tasted pretty good, I ended up not serving it because it looked so oily, greasy and unappetizing.

I have been making this dip for quite a few years and it's a hit every single time. I serve the dip with crisp bread slices. The dip is my go-to favorite!

I made this as the Thanksgiving appetizer and served it with all kinds of options...sliced pretzel bread, garlic bagel chips, flat pretzel crackers, baby carrots, cocktail weenies, and mini pigs-in-a-blanket. Even when the dish cooled completely, my family was still scarfing! The swiss cheese and bacon combo is Fabu!

I looked this up on the recommendation of some friends that are gourmet cooks and get asked for this recipe every time they make it. I made it for the first time this evening and it is wonderful. I will definitely be bringing it to my next event.

WARNING: Unless you want a mustard dip, you might consider reducing the mustard to 1/8 or 1/4 teaspoon. My friends suggested this and I did it and am very glad I did.

My husband is not a fan of swiss cheese so I used Cheddar and it was fabulous! My father-in-law loved it too. Great alternative to my staple pepperoni dip.

This dip is delicious! I left out the scallions and almonds because my boyfriend doesn't like these, but it was still great--a terrific hit at a party!!

I made this recipe for a get together for friends and family recently and it was gone by the end of the night. My sister in law has since requested I bring this to my niece's birthday party this coming weekend.

This is so quick, easy & tasty! Everybody loves it. I make this dip for every party that I am invited to, and I'm pretty sure it's the reason I keep getting invited back. If you think it's too salty, omit the bacon and nuts. It will still be really good and far less salty.

Even though I'm not a swiss cheese fan, I still ate it up but definately will use a different cheese next time. Very easy to make especially when you buy pre-cooked bacon.
