This recipe is great and quick and easy to make. It calls for a little too much onion and not enough everything else so I add more tomatoes and chicken stock. Also I substituted roasted green chiles for jalapenos and threw in ready-made roasted chicken it was awesome!!!!

I was really excited to make tortilla soup because its so delicious! Unfortunately it didn't turn out as expected...watery and flavorless...maybe I did something wrong...wouldn't recommend making this soup.

I've made this once a week and have given the recipe to all my friends. They all LOVE it, especially the fryed tortilla chips for the top. I use boxed chicken stock and a ready made whole chicken from the local deli. Awesome and super quick!

my husband and i really enjoyed this variation on chicken noodle soup. i added some brown rice to the soup and baked the tortilla strips rather than frying them. will be making it again with more spice and maybe adding some corn.

easy, and very good. i added quite a bit of chili powder and some cajun seasoning. i still would add another jalapeno next time as well as some black beans. the tortillas strips are a great idea and are delicious. would be great for a potluck or party.

I really liked this soup. I did a little extra tweaking on it and also doubled the batch! Its something deffinately worth making. I also added some rice to it to make it go farther.
