I don't understand this, water??? Condensed milk??? I saw one of Paula's shows once--she laughed strangely at odd times and I came away thinking she was weird. Now that I've seen this recipe, I'm convinced. (And people dis Rachel Ray! If this recipe contains water to make it low cal/low fat, it should say so. Otherwise, it's not chocolate milk, it's chocolate water and condensed milk. Yuk.

Striving to be a hot chocolate connoisseur and in search of the best hot chocolate, this recipe begins well but ends somewhat dull. It lacks creaminess and a cutting edge flavor that tantilizes the pallet. On a positive note, it has a smooth consistency. The amount of cocoa, salt, and vanilla make for a good blend.
Having taken the liberty to modify the recipe to make it into a memorable and most satisfying beverage, I have concluded that water and the amount called for is not the ideal liquid to add to the chocolate mixture. Also, the addition of a certain spice gives the hot chocolate a bite, making this recipe head and shoulders above all others.
This recipe is a good starting point, but with necessary modification, it truly can be a creamy dreamy delight.

I usually make this hot chocolate in the summer. I know it sounds crazy but if you cool it down in the fridge, then blend it with ice, it make a great frozen drink! You can even make it lighter if you use lite sweetened condensed milk. It tastes just like a fudgecicle! Yum yum!!!

Thank you for the perfect hot chocolate recipe for a crowd. It was delicious, easy, and we're making two batches this year for our New Year's party.

I fixed this recipe for the first time, and it was great with a little peppermint schnapps and a dollop of whipped cream.

Everyone at my party this weekend raved about this hot chocolate. A few people, including myself, think it's just about the best we've had.

I made this for my kids and their friends (ages 10-23.... well, I indulged in a cup for myself and wow, I was back for seconds. Delicious. I have already added condensed milk to my grocery list so I can make it again. Thanks Paula for sharing this one with us!

Once you try this chocolate, you will never go back to the powder stuff. So creamy and rich. Very good on a cold night.

I thought that this hot chocolate was a little sweet for my taste. Next time I make it I will try a bit more water or add a cup of milk to it. It was good though.
