This is a very hearty and tasty dish. My hubby thought it ws jambalaya being the cajun he is. We love it and it is so easy to make.

I really liked this dish. My rice was a little sticky though...I think it was because I didn't use as much BUTTER as Paula suggested. I will make this recipe again.

this recipe was fabulous!...it turned out beautiful..i'm notorious for either burning rice or not cooking it enough and i was really nervous..but it turned out buttery, seasoned and great!...i think it could ahve maybe used a little green in it..like maybe throw some cellery in there for the last 10 min when you're boiling the rice(before you simmer it...and i'm from louisiana and Tony's seasoning is huge here...it is really great in this!(then again i put tony's in everything!...great southern recipe paula!

I so wanted to like this dish for it's comfort potential. Found it too salty and too fatty even though I reduced the butter by half and used a lower fat sausage. Teenage boys, however, gobbled this up. My husband and I were not impressed.

I would make this again, but elimanate alot of the pepper. On the show, she didn't use cayenne, she used hot sauce.
