This recipe was very nice. Even my Syrian brother-in-law enjoyed this lighter fresher version. He has always kidded about having his own falafel wagon and thinks these would be just the thing here in the US.

Like others, I should have read the reviews and realized they would fall apart in the oil. I then tried pan frying them like the girl in the show said she did. That didn't work out much better. And to the two people arguing over it being Israeli vs. Palestinian, you're both wrong. According to wikipedia.org, it's origin is actually Egyptian.

I tried your recipe and when frying them they completely and totally fell apart when frying. I have never had this happen before and I can not believe how they just disintergrated into the oil.

This was so delicious! Please use the dry chickpeas and NOT canned, or they will fall apart in the frying pan. I made one change...subed the cilantro for parsley because my husband and I are not cilantro fans. We thought it was perfect in pita bread and better than what we have had eating out.

I wish I had read the reviews first. The taste is great - but like the others - mine fell apart in the oil. Next time I'll make it adding a little corn starch as suggested. And to the person who claims Falafel is not Israeli - they are WRONG

This is an excellent vegetarian dish. Very healthy and not very hard to make.

Don't know if it was me, but I tried this recipe 2x and each time the Falafel just melted away into the oil. Terribly disappointing, as I had planned a whole Middle Eastern meal and the main dish was a no-show...sorry!

Great!!! I used the ice cream scoop as directed and it yielded about 18 lg. falafel patties.
