I made this lasagna for an office potluck and EVERYONE loved it, so much so that they individually told me so several times. I did a few things differently than Paula: 1 Chose to omit the gruyere due to cost ($18 for cheese, are you kidding me? and just used extra swiss which I've been told is similar. 2 Only cooked the sauce for 30 minutes instead of an hour due to time constraints. The only comment I have is that I don't feel the recipe yielded quite enough sauce which is interesting because other people felt the recipe gave them more than was necessary. Anyway, I recommend trying this recipe - although it is a bit time consuming, it is definitely worth it!

I am making this for my boyfriend and a big group of his buddies. It has to go well because there seems to be some sort of a "dinner party competition" - and of course I get quite competitive, especially when it comes to entertaining! I have read so many great reviews and things to take out or change. For the guys' sake, I think I will skip the swiss and double up on mozzerella, which was in a review I read. Not everyone is big on swiss. I also read a few reviews that it was a little salty, so I will adjust that, as well. I am really excited about this recipe, so if anyone has additional suggestions, PLEASE PLEASE let me know before I get it fired up! Can't wait to taste this recipe! Paula is absolutely the best....and I am a southern girl that has to show these western folks how to do it right!!!

MADE THIS JUST LIKE PAULA SAID TO AND IT WAS GREAT.

I READ IN ONE REVIEW THAT THIS CALLED FOR A CUP OF SALT...PLEASE NOTE IT DOES NOT..I THINK SOMEONE ADDED ALL OF THE HOUSE SEASONING AND DID NOT READ THE DIRECTIONS.

MAKE THIS THE RIGHT WAY AND YOU WILL BE VERY HAPPY.

This is the best lasagna ever, hands down. Some of the ingredients don't usually go in traditional lasagna, but try it and don't leave anything out. It's Perfect.

This recipe is amazing. The best lasagna I have ever had, and my guests said the same. (It cracks me up that the lady below put a cup of salt in her lasagna, I had to call my Mom

I love this recipe and have made it serval times. It also freezes great. I took this to my sister in law's for Easter and it was a big hit. My mother in law said "Oh I just love this lasagna". Thanks Paula.

This recipe is just perfect. It has become the family favorite. I added 1/2 bulk Italian sausage 1/2 ground beef and that put it over the edge in flavor and compliments. I add some corn starch to sauce to give it a thicker consistancy, which hold up better when serving.

This is the best lasagna I have ever made or eaten. I could not believe that I made something so good, but then again, Paula Dean has never let me down.
