This recipe was a great base for what I made. Mixed 1 stick butter, 1C sugar, 2 eggs, and 2Tbsp. sour cream. Only had 2 bananas, and put in 1.5 tsp cinnamon, 1 tsp. vanilla, 1 tsp. ginger, 1 tsp. nutmeg, 1/3 cup heavy cream and set aside in separate bowl. Then in third bowl did the dry ingredients; 2C self-rising flour, 1 tsp. baking powder, 1 tsp. baking soda, 1 tsp. salt. Mixed the wet bowl into the sugary bowl very well. Folded the dry ingredients into the wet gently, then chopped 1/2 cup walnuts to fold in gently after. Poured into pan, topped with sprinkle of more chopped walnuts and baked for 1 hour at 330. Perfection!

Great recipe, simple and easy to prepare. I substituted the milk with almond milk and added a cup of walnuts. It took a little longer to bake (about an hour and 25 mins but tasted great. My whole family enjoyed it.

Easy and delicious! For a first-time banana bread baker, this was great. Moist all the way through. Family couldn't stop eating it :-

I used this recipe for Jumbo Muffins...This was a very easy recipe to follow. I like to get a general idea of what goes in certain recipes and modify it. With this recipe I used whole wheat flour, substituted 1/2 the sugar for a bit of honey, and apple sauce, used 2 large tbsp of greek non-fat yogurt instead of milk, substituted 1/2 cinnamon for ginger, and used an extra banana. I also added 2 large tsp of lemon rind and the juice. I added walnuts to the top and sprinkled shreded coconut on top. Baked at 350 for 45 minutes. I'm always coming up with new ideas to feed my family. Enjoy, YUMMY and healthy!!!

Flavor was lacking and it wasn't as moist as I would prefer. Definitely recommend baking for longer than 1 hour and 10 minutes.

Excellent recipe! Good banana flavor, added 1/2c chopped walnuts to the batter and it was delicious. Oven accuracy can vary, so check it after an hour baking time - mine was perfectly moist after 1hr 10min. This one is a keeper -

This recipe was SO easy and very yummy. The butter adds just a touch of indulgence which I adore! I cooked mine at 350 for 1 hr 10 min., because I had read that others had issues with the cooking time. It was a touch overdone. An hour at 350 would probably have been just right. This one is a go-to keeper. Thank you!
