Delicious. I did need to bake it for 1 1/2 hours at 325F.

Love this easy recipe. I've made it soo many times and everyone loves it! I always use whole wheat pastry flour and 1/2 the amount of butter. It turns out great every time. It''s sweet enough for me, but I've cut the sugar down to 1/2 cup and substituted an extra 1/2 of a banana. It was perfect for my low-sugar eating sister!! Great for homemade gifts and bake sales!

This is hands down the BEST banana bread recipe ever! Every time I make this people ask me for the recipe. It's pretty much fool proof. It's so light and moist. My kids can't get enough of it. I usually make it into mini muffins. I often add things to it and my kids never suspect because it is so tasty! I add ground flax seed or wheat germ, etc. I've also added pureed sweet potato or squash, or applesauce. Anything to add a little extra nutrition to their diet! I will never use another banana bread recipe again.

This bread is delicious but something is wrong with the time on this recipe. It doesn't take 2 hours to prepare and it isn't fully cooked in and hour and 10 minutes at 325 degrees. I had to leave it in the oven for a lot longer to make sure it was done.

super moist and super good. because of high altitude, I kept the recipe as written but added 1 more banana: baked for 1:10 and my baby and I can't get enough: this is my third ever but those 2 before were with no taste and this recipe therefore is a keeper. yum:

Good recipe. However, like many others I have made some slight modifications. I made this 2 days in a row (#1 - because the 1st batch disappeared within hours! #2 - because I had more bananas that were getting too ripe. My 1st batch came out somewhat dry. Not that it mattered to anyone in my family b/c they ate it up within hours, but it's something that I noticed and bothered me. I also felt it could have been sweeter. Not by much, but just a tad. So with batch #2, I added some chocolate chips, used 1/2 brown sugar & 1/2 white sugar instead of all white sugar, and I also reduced the amount of flour to 1 & 3/4 cups instead of 2 cups. now it's PERFECT! (Although if truth be told, my kids are in school and I'm not sure if this batch will last by the time they get home! :

The best banana bread I ever made. Yummy!
never thought i could make one this good - it's the closest to my mom's homemade banana bread.
