There was a way better version of this recipe featured on his TV show a while back. Instead of grilled onions it had deep fired onion rings and bell pepper rings. I have tried this as well but the old recipe is much better! Try it if you haven't. Unfortunately it is nowhere online. That recipe didn't have cheese though, so i'll have to try adding that.

I have made this recipe three times now and it is wonderful. The remoulade sauce is the best part of the meal. Great way to spice up a hamburger.

These burgers were delicious. The Andouille sausage is a wonderful addition to the typical grilled burger. I was very careful not to overwork the meat and the burgers were nice and juicy. My daughter loved the grilled onions and the creole sauce. My husband on the other hand is just a basic ketchup kind of guy for burgers. I gave this 5 stars because you really don't have to change this recipe at all and it will come out great. Emeril you are great!!!! Thank you for sharing.

This was a fantastic burger. The andouille makes it, so don't substitute for it! The addition of the grilled onion was great. Trust me, you won't be disappointed.

A little heavy for a hot day - but GREAT for a sping & fall. Flavor is fantastic and easy to prepare.

I made these burgers for the SuperBowl get together and they were so moist and juicy, the Remoulade Sauce just set off the whole burger.

These were the best burgers. You can also use turkey instead of ground beef, and you can also mix and match different types of sausages to change the flavor. The sauce was a little time consuming to put together, BUT well worth the work. Incredible sauce!!!!
