My daughter (9 and I made this and she loved it. It is very easy with not many ingrediants and the kids get to use their hands a lot. However, start early if you want to have them for dinner and have a large family.

Never had gnocchi's but really thought they were good. After adding at least 1 cup plus about 1/4 cup more then the recipe calls for, I boiled them, drained them gently, and saute'd them in a bit of butter, sage, and reggiano cheese. Tasty!

My mother-in-law is from Italy and doesn't use recipes so I was on my own to figure out how she makes such great Gnocchi. She only makes this once a year, but with this recipe we can make it whenever we want. This was just right! We used about a cup more flour than called for but I think it all depends on your potatoes.

The best part of this recipe is that its really easy. I substituted fresh dill for the fresh rosemary and it worked really well. I imagine that fresh basil would work well too.

Turned out really well-just like restaurant gnocchi! Had to add quite a bit more flour than called for though.

These gnocchi were absolutely delicious! They freeze very well, making for a convenient last-minute dinner. I topped mine with a creamy alfredo-bacon sauce, which really complimented the gnocchi's texture.
