Fantastic recipe! And what I love is you can substitute any booze or dry cookie. I made two variations this last year:
S'more balls: Marsh-mellow vodka, graham crackers, and cocoa powder (omit the spices
Apple Pie balls: Apple moonshine, graham crackers, and cinnamon (omit the cocoa powder

Fantastic recipe! I use 151 along with sailor Jerry rum. 1/4 cup of each. Or a little more and add extra nilla wafers. Two or three rum balls will make your season bright!

First off, these are easy and amazing!
I am alergic to walnuts, so they were substituted with pecans.. And I like them better rolled in granulated sugar. You are going to want to make more!

Great presents for doctors, neighbors and friends!

    Enjoy!

Awesome!! My rum balls are requested every year for our cookie exchange, and I use 1/2 cup rum PLUS 1/4 cup brandy. For those of you that think this is too strong, you are missing the idea that these shouldn't be eaten for 5 days. They must sit in a sealed container and they mello as they age and get better and better (2-3 weeks max, though.

These were very easy to make because, unlike Christmas cookies, no cooking is involved!!! Yeah! I made these and like them, but forget their stated proportions. I had to double the recipe to make 4 dozen. Supposedly their recipe makes 5 1/2 dozen - NOT! Double the recipe and you will have a decent sized rumball.

Make sure you keep this away from the kiddies, but it is delicious for the adults. Couldn't find anything easier to make!

Great rumball! Perfect balance of flavours. I made mine with pecans because I didn't have walnuts on hand. Delicious!!
