My husband and i love it. I really didnt like the kidney beans so the next time I made it I added mushrooms in stead. I also added some potatoes too. That was pretty good too.

The flavors from this dish are absolutely marvelous. I used one tablespoon of fresh thyme instead of the dried. I also used pre-cooked chicken tenders (9 pcs and added them at the end. Very very good.

I didn't know stew could be so quick and taste so good. Great weeknight meal that tastes like it has been cooking for a couple of hours and not forty minutes. I added more carrots and used only one chicken breast since ours were so big and we wanted less meat. Perfect with crusty garlic bread.

This dish was so simple to make and delish. My 8 year old loved it so much he ate 2 bowls. This morning he asked me if I can make it again and said to his father, last nights dinner was soooo good Daddy. Mommy is becoming a good cook. LOL!!!

I liked this soup. I believe it could have used less chicken than I put in it, however, my husband said that there could never be enough chicken. The crusty bread was a great complement to the stew.

Great! I made slight modifications. I doubled the recipe and used white kidney beans, black beans and a can of corn. To make life easier, I used boneless, skinless chicken with rib meat and it was just fine and so much easier. Enjoy!

I've been dying to try this recipe for some time. I read all the other reviews and only tweaked Giada's a little bit. I had 4 chicken breasts (on bone, so I used them all, instead of only 2 like the recipe asked for. I also seasoned the chicken with S&P and the Montreal Steak Seasoning (just because I had it and I liked the way it sounded. I did brown the chicken breasts prior to the veggies, 2 at a time, so I wouldn't crowd the pot. I also added 1 1/2 cloves of minced garlic to the carrot/onion/celery saute. I added the garlic right when the onion turned and only let it cook for a minute before I added the other ingredients. I was skeptical because I had read other reviews about how bland this was. It totally was not bland at all! My husband raved and raved about it! I have made so many of Giada's other recipes and we've never, ever been disappointed! I'm glad I tried this one. I would definitely make it again! It was delicious!

AWESOME! It turned out so well & I did not follow the recipe exact either. I read through the comments & I did actually try potatoes instead of the kydney beans & it turned out great. I thought about maybe adding corn next time.
