This recipe was very soft and would benefit from more flour or delete the buttermilk. It was so sticky that it stuck to the parchment paper I baked it on. I cut the nutmeg down to half, and at first bite, the flavor was great--but for the past hour I cannot rid myself of the strong spice after taste. Think I will stick to the Quaker Oats recipe I've always used.

Delicious. Easy to make. Flavorful with all the spices and very smooth not too sweet cookie. Made my own buttermilk substitute. Definitely a keeper recipe. Did make cookies a little bigger about 4 dozen.

I thought this recipe would be amazing, until I looked at the measurements. Who in the world makes 5 dozen cookies? Paula, I wish you would broken the measurements down, so that normal people like myself would be able to use it and not spend an hour trying to convert measurements and estimate. My cookies were soggy and did not form. I will never use another recipe like this!

Not a big oatmeal cookie fan, all the spices make this cookie. Soft, flavorful , an amazing cookie. We made these for my daughters favorite History Teacher, I'm going to have to make more to have at home. We tried a different recipe first dry no flavor , this one so the bomb!

Paula hit a home run with these. As a man, who enjoys cooking, I've never been able to find an oatmeal recipe I liked until I stumbled across this one. It ranks right up there with my other two favorites-snickerdoodles and choclate chips.
