Paula M'Lady, you've done it again!!! Made a huge batch of these cookies Christmas Eve and Christmas Day they were GONE !!!! I don't have a huge family, but they wolfed into these cookies so darned quick you'd think they hadn't eaten for weeks. These are easy to make and just loaded with flavour...a real winner in this household for sure.

Great recipe! I substituted the raisins for cranberrys and they were delish. I also didnt have buttermilk...so i used some yogurt and whole milk. It worked just fine. This dough makes a lot of cookies. Will definitely make again!!!!

their not the best ever but their okay...i've had better and i'll stick the Dove's Nest recipe. they are just regular oatmeal raisin cookies but with extra spices. what makes these oatmeal cookies so different is the amount of different spices that are in them. they are so super moist that they break up while trying to get them off the pan.

I decided to try my hand at christmas baking for the first time this year. These oatmeals cookies came out moist and delicious... but something was missing. Dont get me wrong. Very good, but maybe it needed more raisins??? My husband and son loved them; but likewise, they agreed not the best oatmeal cookie they ever ate. So far, I have made three of Paula's cookies: these oatmeal cookies, sand tarts, and lace cookies. I have to say the sand tarts are my favorite so far.

My husband LOVES these cookies. I made a single batch just for him without the extras, just plain oatmeal. And a second batch for my office, needless to say, everyone enjoyed them. I had people tell me they were the BEST oatmeal cookies they've ever tried, and asked for the recipe.
By the way, I exchanged the walnuts for chopped pecans, and added coconut flakes...it took the cookie to a NEW level!! The coconut flakes were subtle enough not to overpower the oatmeal taste. This recipe is DEFINITELY a KEEPER.

These cookies are out of this world!!!

    Thank you Paula

These cookies are awesome. Had to print the recipe again as I lost the copy I made some time ago. These are a winner without a doubt.

These are real nice cookies! My hubby likes oatmeal cookies, and I gave this recipe a try. I tasted one and it's great! Let's hope he thinks the same.
BTW - I exchanged the walmuts with oatmeal and flour. I bet the cookies would be better with the nuts in them.

I was looking for a WOW cookie for xmas. I might make again, but I would LEAVE out the GINGER... Also, there is enough "butter mix" to more than drizzle on top of the cookies. My family like them better when I dipped the cookie (by turning them upside down into mixture.
