My husband and I love these cookies. They are so light not very sweet at all. The taste is great and they were very easy to put together and they didn't burn like some people have said, but I did experience what some have said that the dough did crumble when I added the flour mixture and it did not come together until I added 3 tablespoons of water. I didn't add an egg yolk I didn't want to change the flavor of the dough, but I guess water did the trick. I am so glad I tried this recipe because it is fantastic! I will make them again and again. Thank you Ina for an awasome
cookie recipe keep up the great work!

I have tried a variety of thumbprint recipes through the recipe database on this site but this one tops them all! I sampled one cookie from my first batch and to my delight, concluded that I needed to make a second batch. Delicious! Everyone who bakes for the holidays should have a copy of this recipe. Be prepared for requests!

These jam thumbprint cookies turned out pretty good and very easy to make. I didn't run into any problems at all. Could've turned out looking prettier had I owned a scale and weighed them, just like Ina. I would've rated a perfect 5 stars, but didn't because I'm not that big into coconuts.

This was the first year making this cookie in the annual holiday cookie bake. It very quickly became the holiday favorite. Wonderful combination on buttery cookie, nutty baked coconut and sweet jam in the middle. With great results using raspberry jam and lemon curd.

I made these cookies after seeing Ina's show... I was thrilled when they came out looking exactly like hers! They were a real hit as a holiday gift and a very nice change of pace from the usual rolled sugar cookies or everybody's-favorite-chocolate-chips! People thought they were very special and(though my kids enjoyed them too they had great adult appeal. They are absolutely lovely with a cup of tea.

I made these cookies for the Holidays and they were by far the best. I don't like coconut so I tried somethis different. I bought sliced almonds and crushed them and used them in place of the coconut. My family ate them up. I think I'm going to give these away as gifts throughout the year.

I loved these cookies!! They went so fast that I had to salvage the rest for the freezer to serve this weekend. They were so light yet crisp with just the right sweetness and the coconut was just the right embellishment. We loved them. I love Barefoot Contessa and am an obsessive compulsive Food Network watcher. My husband even bought me my own TV just for watching your shows. It's on all day. Thanks so much.
