Wow. Very good and I agree with an earlier post about skipping the blanching and just run under
water, especially when pressed for time (note I am writing this on Thanksgiving. Maybe the blanching adds something but these were fantastic. I will never make them another way.

I love candied nuts and I like them in salad. This recipe is so easy and delicious! Exactly as described...time is perfect too!
I have made them several times now and I like them hot so I triple the Cayenne Pepper, delicious!

This recipe is very easy and quick, but in terms of flavor it misses the mark. Ok for tossing with salads, but as a stand alone snack try one of the other recipes that add more spices, Emeril's spiced nuts, or union square bar nuts. I added a heaping teaspoonful of my Kansas City BBQ rub mix to the sugar to add pizzaz!

I agree, always double this recipe you won't regret it! If you have fresh walnuts, this years crop, you farm girls know what I mean. Skip the poaching and just give the nuts a rinse under the tap, otherwise you'll be watching and baking for at least 30 minutes. Yummy stuff.

Oh my goodness! This is the best and easiest recipe. I love the mix of sweet and spicy. This is definitely my go to recipe for candied walnuts.
