Okay... I increased everything, including the pepper. Also, I mixed walnuts w/ pecans. Oh, and I cooked the nuts on parchment paper lined cookie sheets and added time to the cooking so the nuts would be crunchy. Wonderful salad topper w/ blue cheese. Very nice!!!

These are so good, and so easy. It's nice that they are baked and not deep fried.

I was looking for something to add a little jazz to a salad and these came out fantastic! Very simple to do and the result was what I was looking for.

I normally make my candied nuts with butter and brown suger so I wasn't sure about this recipe. However, the mixture ensures complete coating and these work well on salads or with specific appetizers.

Simple and gets the job done. Not a thick sweet coating, more of a slightly moist subtle one. I used these to garnish poached pears. I would use this recipe again however I would not use it to give candied nuts as a gift, this recipe simply wouldn't do. The cayenne helped the flavor along but don't worry if you don't have any on hand, it wasn't too necessary for the success of this recipe.

I enjoyed this recipe - I would probably agree with those suggesting a bit more pepper and sugar. I also used a tupperware container to mix the nuts into the sugar mixture - this really helped with evenly coating.
