Turned out perfectly. Crispy on the outside, chewy on the inside. Yummy buttery!

I have been making these for several years after seeing Ina make them. They are always a hit. They are my most requested cookie by my family and my daughters friends. I make them a bit smaller than Ina suggested, no other changes.

I cannot believe how delicious these cookies are! Made 3 batches for a dessert bar: one with raspberry jam, one with blackberry jam, and one with Nutella. These cookies were the first dessert to disappear and several people requested the recipe. I found that baking them on the middle oven rack one pan at a time kept both the bottoms and the coconut from burning. It takes longer, but the cookies turned out perfectly.

It is really great when someone elses recipe makes you a hero. Excellent cookie. Just follow the recipe EXACTLY and you will have a superior cookie. Thre is a reason the woman has a tv program! If you cannot do it exactly, don't post a negative review. She has created a perfect recipe.

We do this with the Original recipe for Macaroons.Have used chocolate that melted, preserves, you name it.Plus,we did not have to use Butter to excess as in this recipe.Still 5 stars for use of a different recipe that is Aces.
