    This is a fantastic recipe. Took the
    batch of spiced walnuts on a wine tasting trip and they were a hit with everyone. They're a great match with a good Zin. Spicy, sweet, crunchy! Yum! Many asked for the recipe. Follow the recipe closely. Watch the temp on oil when frying as they brown quickly!! Mine browned in 20-25 seconds

    First of all, do not get creative and think you can mix your nuts and fry them at the same time. I got charred almond slivers.
    The season is mild, I may add a dash of granulated sugar afterwards before eating. You can tast the cinnamon, I added a dash of cloves hoping to make it stronger- and this is after I inadvertently dropped a lot more pepper than the recipe calls for.
