My beloved daughter had a holiday party at her school and I thought I'd make these as I was pressed for time...
They were easy to make but they pick up that freezer taste and smell because you have t put them back in the freezer to set up. It's impossible to find an airtight container because the sticks are too large.
Also, the cheesecake dries out after being placed in the freezer, as does the toppings.
This was just a complete waste of time and money for me. My daughter, only being 8 years old, was very upset.
I ran to my local bakery and purchased and item - it cost me $12. So, between the money I spent on the Sandra Lee fiasco and the item from the bakery, I'm out almost $30.
    Never again!

They're okay for about 15 minutes but they quickly dry out and fall apart when you try to eat them.

Not easy to make at all. Very frustrating and time consuming.

Everyone loved them and couldn't believe I had made them. I almost didn't want to reveal how easy they were to make!!! Everyone thought the were delicious.

how exciting to see these cheescake pops made, couldn't wait to make my own for our office party. I got everything ready, and to my surprise was very organized for this project, and what a project it was. The cheescake stuck to the melon baller and what a mess. I did finally roll them up with my hands, didn't tell anyone in the office how I really made them otherwise they probaby wouldn't have eaten them. Any one have any ideas how this really worked?

I thought this would be an easy treat for the holidays, boy was I wrong. I saw the show and thought it would be pretty easy. I bought a prepared cheesecake and tried to make the little scoops but it just stuck to the melonballer. I tried everything, hot water, no stick spray freezing the cheesecake to make it hardermore firm all to no avail. I couldn't get it to little balls. very disapponting to say the least.

Usually I have a cookie decorating party, but this year I had a "sugar plum pop party" based on this idea from her show for mine and the little kids in the neighborhood. They had so much fun making, decorating, and eating them.

come on people, haven't you ever tried to save a recipe gone awry? I tried this with a melon ball scooper and got a mess also, so I just scooped it up and rolled a ball in my hands. I froze them for 1 hour, then like truffles, rolled them in different coatings. Some were in cocoa powder, drizzled w/raspberry glaze after dipping in white chocolate, drizzled w/caramel, etc. I then placed them in mini foil cups and voila! All is well. As for the white chocolate drink, look to the Barefoot Contessa for that recipe.
