So simple, and far more delicious than you'd think!

I accidentally bought unpitted dates, but the pits were very easy to remove. The key to attractive presentation is not to squish it into the gooey part. I cut out the pit, squished the date back together, then pressed the almond into the date, which makes a little nest for the almond (vs. a grave!. Because I had to pit the dates, I also re-squished the end together. Forgiving food to work with.

I almost didn't make these with my 'exotic' meal, but decided to at the last minute. I used pitted dates and they came out beautiful. Great tast with the smokey salty nuts and the sweet rich dates.

Wish I could give them more stars!!

This was the perfect end to a Moroccan dinner I had complete with pillows on the floor and Casablanca on the TV. I served them with green/mint tea. They were a hit.

I REALLY LIKE THESE. THEY TASTE GREAT. HOWEVER, MINE DO NOT LOOK NEARLY AS PRETTY AS RACHEL RAY'S DO. I USED THEM AT A PARTY. ONLY HALF THE PEOPLE TRIED THEM BECAUSE THEY AREN'T THAT ATTRACTIVE. THE PEOPLE THAT DID TRY THEM LIKE THEM THOUGH.
