This is such a great new way to have Portobellos - it's really easy and the taste is amazing! :

These were wonderful, particularly served with a Bulgar wheat pilaf and a medley of other vegies.

My husband loves mushrooms of any sort, but even he was skeptical of this recipe. My son was about to order out for pizza when I finally coerced him to taste one. Now I can't make it often enough! This one's a real winner.

Loved it! I didn't have the steak seasoning so I used garlic salt, onion salt and fresh black pepper. Turn out fantastic! I'm making them again tonight!!

I saw Rachel make these on TV the other night, and realized they'd be perfect with a minor adaptation. So I made my own breadcrumbs with low-carb bread (toasted well, then food-processed til fine to make a version of these fries my dh absolutely loved! Just a cup of breadcrumbs (about 2 slices and a little under 1 Tblsp. Italian Seasoning mix to make "Italian" breadcrumbs. Even with the extra steps, prep time was pretty minimal. He's been so good about his diet, and kept his weight off so well, that I love to encourage him by giving him lots of tasty things that are actually allowed! Even our 3-year-old liked these, and she usually avoids mushrooms like the plague (we didn't identify them for her, obviously.
