It's outrageously good. The candied walnuts are wonderful in it. I added some crispy Chinese noodles for more cruch too. Highly recommended.

This is a family favorite now. To me, this is salad perfection! The candied walnuts are so worth the time to make for this.

The candied walnuts and mandarins were awful with the miso dressing. Some tastes just weren't meant to go together.

I gave the candied walnuts a chance but they were indeed disgusting. Skip them or at least omit the cinnamon. Cinnamon in a salad is a big turnoff.

Cinnamon goes great with delicate lettuce, oranges and vinaigrette. Next time I am going to use Penzey's cake spice mix to get cloves, ginger and allspice in my salad, too.

The heavy cinnamon flavor is awful! We picked them out, of course, but the taste stayed in our mouths. If you make this, I highly recommend omitting the walnuts.

...so I left it out- no big deal. The walnuts were still delicious. And what is a walnit?

the herbs and spice on the walnuts -- cinnamon-- wrecked the salad.
