This is how I have always cooked bacon for my family. Never considered it as a 'recipe' - to me, it is more of a method. Heck, it is how my Grandma taught me to cook bacon!

This is the easiest and most mess-free way to cook bacon ever... Definitely line your baking sheets with aluminum foil.

Great idea...BUT if you use heavy-duty foil that has been crinkled (carefully crush and gently unfold to avoid tearing in the bottom of the pan and up the sides, the grease pools in the crevices making the bacon crispier and less fatty.

I made this for my 9yr old daughter & I and it was by far the best way I've made bacon. She is a true bacon lover & after eating this she said "Mom will you make the bacon like that all the time now." :-

Put tin foil down then bake it. You don't need a cooking rack. It's crispy and delicious. Amazingly bacon doesn't curl in the oven.

OVEN ROASTING BACON IS THE BEST WAY TO MAKE IT, HOWEVER INA'S RECIPE FOR "ROASTED MAPLE BACON" INCLUDES THE DIRECTION TO PUT THE BACON ON A RACK OVER A FOIL-LINED BAKING SHEET AND THAT IS MUCH BETTER THAN LAYING IT DIRECTLY ON A BAKING SHEET. EASY CLEAN-UP AND ROASTS BOTH SIDES OF BACON.
P.S. SOME OF THE (SO-CALLED REVIEWERS NEED TO GROW UP

This works well, and less messy than using a stove top. Sprinkle a little brown sugar on if you like sweet/salty. The other reviews are hysterical - maybe they were enjoying cocktails with their bacon ! :

OMG!! This sounds so much more sophisticated than Rachel Ray's "Late Night Bacon". I must try this immediately.

One question though, does it have to be apple-wood smoked bacon? I have some thick cut Black Forest style bacon I bought at Whole Foods and this recipe sounds ideally suited for it.
