This was very good. I'm on a low carb diet, so it was nice for me to have something I can eat, and I was able to just serve the fam's burger on buns with the traditional toppings they like without having to make a whole separate meal.

If you have a bread "Jones," a slice or two of "sprouted" whole grain bread will help to avoid the blood sugar spikes associated with regular bread.

I made these this evening. Love meat? Love flavor? Need low-carb? DO IT. :
I use the values charts in Atkins and My Plate, but it would be nice to have nutrient values in food tv recipes.

how could somebody say that this burger was disappointing? it was DELICIOUS!!!!!! my whole family loved it... even my daughter and she hates mushrooms. this could very well be the best burger i've ever had.

This burger has extraordanary flavors the sage gives it a wonderful taste. Here is a tip guys I made a simple but delicious chipotle mayo with New Mexico green chillie's, a great combination.

Having to need low carbo, low calorie foods, I hoped to find these Nutrient guides someplace at the end of the recipe. No.... Nothiing. Too bad the Food Network people cannot take the time to figure it out. I have to for just about everything I eat so as to not go over my allotted daily intake.

this has to be one of the best burgers i have ever had but i think there issomething missing maybe a sause that has a spicy taste to it but not so much that it will get rid of the taste of the mushrooms what should i use for a sause?

My husband and son are both trying to limit their carbs right now and they both loved this dish. I cheated a little and had mine on a bun since a meal without bread is not my thing. Anyway, we all enjoyed this. It was very filling, with or without a bun. I used Swiss cheese which is cheaper than Fontina and I can't imagine that the more expensive cheese could have been any better. I also used white mushrooms as that is what I had on hand.
